Ben is an experienced prosecutor who has devoted his career to protecting the community and holding violent offenders accountable.
Having worked with law enforcement in southeastern Wisconsin for over a decade, Ben has the experience to help keep Ozaukee County safe. Since 2018, Ben has served as Ozaukee County Assistant District Attorney and began his career as a prosecutor in Milwaukee County in 2012.
Ben is a trial attorney who has prosecuted a wide variety of criminal offenses, including homicide, sexual assault, domestic violence, drug trafficking, and impaired and reckless driving cases. In addition to his current criminal caseload, Ben also serves as the juvenile justice prosecutor for Ozaukee County.
Ben earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. While in law school, he was a judicial intern for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser.
During college, Ben worked for State Senator Alberta Darling. He then served in the George W. Bush Administration from 2006 to 2008, ultimately as Deputy Associate Director of the White House Office of Presidential Personnel where he recruited candidates for presidential appointments.
Ben and his wife, Courtney, have called Ozaukee County home since 2013. They are raising their son (and two dogs) in Cedarburg and are active members of Grace Lutheran Church in Thiensville.
